Aims and scope

The Korean Institute of Sport Science (KISS), one of the leading sports science institute in Asia, was established in 1980. The Korean Journal of Sport Science (KJSS), an official journal of the KISS, has currently published 32 volumes. The KJSS aims to lead a multidisciplinary original research for sports and exercise science. Therefore, KJSS focuses on various aspects of the sports and sports performance and is dedicated to advancing the knowledge of sport, sport performance researchers and other sport scientists. The journal covers the performance analysis, exercise physiology, biomechanics, sport engineering, sport psychology, sport medicine, sport pedagogy, sport social sciences, sport policy, leisure, sport nutrition, exercise and health with an emphasis on work having direct practical applications in enhancing sport performance. The KJSS is an open access and authoritative peer reviewed journal. The KJSS published 4 issues per year; March 31, June 30, September 31, and December 31.
